Postgraduates in National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya are taught in English, Ukrainian or Russian according to the programs and curricula approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. We take into consideration the peculiarities of public health services of the state from which trainees come. The duration of the postgraduate courses is 2-3 years.
The main objective of the postgraduate training in National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya is to allow the students of medical institutions to continue their education and general practitioners to improve their skills for further certification. The Medical faculties together with their teaching hospitals and other health organizations will provide the necessary physical and human resources to create a scholarly environment appropriate for the training of medical graduates so that they acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become accomplished physicians and surgeons with the highest moral and ethical standards.
During 2000-2005. Departments on the instructions MH Ukraine produced 17 standardized curriculum and benchmark test programs with 5 specialties.
Faculty departments and courses conducted considerable work on the development and publication of educational-methodical materials for interns and students. During 2000-2005. At the Faculty prepared and published: textbooks – 14 textbooks – 64, the term logical vocabulary – 6; 90 guidelines to lectures, teaching materials for workshops and seminars, including the Ministry of Health approved CMC Ukraine – 26.
Departments covering 17 specialties of medicine and pharmacy. 14 departments have their scientific and pedagogical school, which trained 58 doctors and 268 candidates.
During 2000-2005 at the faculty were protected 9 doctoral theses. Graduate students defended 21 candidate dissertations, faculty staff – 24 applicants and practicing doctors – 6. During the same period, prepared by 39 expert education levels “master of medicine/pharmacy.”
The results of the research results work during 2000-2005: 86 departments proposed methods of diagnosis, 94 and 35 treatments methods of preventing various diseases. Received 45 patents and licenses inventions. For three years published 33 books (12 of them approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine). In scientific journals and collections published about 450 articles and 600 abstracts of scientific papers, including 58 international editions and 146, respectively.

The faculty has professors and 38 doctors and 196 candidates, including 118 professors. Among the professors teaching faculty has 2 Honored Science and Technology, Honored Three high school, 2 members of the Academy of Higher Education, 5 full members of the other branch academies, 6 Honored doctors of Ukraine.
