The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was established within the Faculty of Pharmacy on June 23, 2004. It was headed by Associate Professor, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Yushchenko Tatiana Ivanivna.
Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy have full-time studies (1-5 years, specialities “Pharmacy”, “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”, “Clinical Pharmacy”) and correspondence forms of study (1-6 years, speciality “Pharmacy”, term of study is 4.5 years and 5.5 years). The course is taught in Ukrainian, Russian and English.

The lecturers of the department have prepared the texts of lectures, methodical instructions and manuals in the relevant disciplines in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
The department provides students with a training course in pharmacognosy (experimental research site on the territory of the museum — N. I. Pirogov’s estate), industrial practices in pharmaceutical chemistry and medical chemistry (pharmaceutical enterprises in Vinnytsia).
The department worked on the organization of the educational process of pharmacists-interns in the speciality “General Pharmacy” with the elements of distance learning.
The department staff comprises 11 Associate professors (5 candidates of chemical sciences and 6 candidates of pharmaceutical sciences), 2 senior teachers (without a degree), the others are assistants without a scientific degree.
