According to the curriculum, the Department of Pediatric Surgery teaches the discipline “Pediatric Surgery” for 5th and 6th year students at the Medical Faculty No .1 and Medical Faculty No. 2 (for pediatricians and medical psychologists), as well as at the Medical Faculty for foreign students (Ukrainian, Russian and English speakers). The Department of Pediatric Surgery teaches the program of the discipline (elective course) “Fundamentals of Endosurgery and Laser Therapy”, as well as “Pediatric Oncology” for medical students No. 2. The department is the basis of training cycles in pediatric surgery for interns in the specialties: “General Surgery”, “General Practice of Family Medicine”, “Pediatrics”, “Neonatology”. The department runs postgraduate education programs – pre-certification and thematic courses for pediatric surgeons, pediatric orthopedic traumatologists and general surgeons who provide surgical care to children. The Department of Pediatric Surgery is a reference in the discipline of “Pediatric Surgery” for teaching the subject to medical psychologists and foreign students.
