Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was founded in 1934 at the maternity hospital No. 1. In 1938 it began working in the new obstetrics and gynecology building of the regional hospital. The first head of the department was prof. S. I. Topuze. His doctoral dissertation was devoted to the diagnosis of early pregnancy and modification of the Ashheim-Tsondek reaction.
In different years before the Great Patriotic War, the department was headed by: Candidate of Medical Sciences O. O. Kogan (1938), associate professor N. P. Verkhatsky (1938-1940), prof. S. B. Golubchik (since February 1940).
In the first years after the war, the heads of the department were: Associate Professor Verhatsky N. P., Assoc. Shterenberg R. I., prof. Smirnov G. N. (1947-1950).
The department has achieved great success when the head of the department was prof. R. A. Vartapetov (1951-1955). Thanks to his work, the department was significantly expanded, the medical process and research work were brought to a higher level. At that time, four candidate dissertations were completed and defended (M. P. Rudyuk, I. P. Humeniuk, J. P. Solsky, P. G. Zhuchenko). During 1955-1956 the duties of the head of the department were carried out by associate professor S. K. Barutchev, and from 1956 to 1961 the department was headed by prof. M. K. Ventskovsky. Under his leadership, the staff of the department published many new scientific papers and two collections of scientific papers. Associate Professor M. P. Rudiuk co-authored in 1959 a manual for doctors and students “Obstetrics Hospital Clinic”, in 1964 together with Professor MK Ventskovsky “Obstetrics and Gynecology” — a textbook for medical departments of medical schools. In 1967, together with M. S. Filippovich and A. I. Mikhalchuk published a textbook “Obstetrics” for medical schools.
In 1961, the department was again headed by Associate Professor S. K. Barutchev.
From 1964 to 1990 the head of the department was Professor P. G. Zhuchenko who until 2010 worked as a professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1. The significant contribution to the training of scientific personnel and activation of scientific developments of our department for the period 1964-1990 by a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Russia and Ukraine, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor L. V. Tymoshenko (Lviv-Kyiv) should be emphasized. Under his direct supervision became candidates, and later doctors of sciences, professors I. A. Sitnik, B. F. Mazorchuk. Great scientific assistance to the department was provided by Professor M. S. Baksheev (Kyiv) — under his guidance the candidate’s dissertation of the current associate professor of the department A. S. Ivanova and doctoral dissertation of Professor V. I. Kuznetsova was carried out. At this time, the following assistants were prepared and successfully defended the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences: О. S. Zhukova, G. A. Potolochna, L. C. Kryzhanivska, A. I. Michalchuk, P. P. Grigorenko.
From 1990 to 2012 the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor B. F. Mazorchuk who now works as a professor of the department, and he handed over the title of the department to his student, Doctor of Medical Sciences Chaika G. V.
For decades, the staff of the department has received great help in scientific developments from Academician UANNP, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ya. P. Solsky. Under his supervision, the candidate and doctoral dissertation of Professor Zhuk S. I. was completed.
Employees of the department received 37 copyright certificates for inventions and patents: P.G. Zhuchenko, B. F. Mazorchuk, I. A. Sytnyk, S. I. Zhuk, G. V. Chaika, V. G. Kayuk, N. G. Masibroda, N. A. Godlevska, O. O. Protsepko, A. V. Poltorak, L. V. Yaremchuk; 24 monographs were published, including 5 textbooks and manuals; 18 methodical and information letters; about 800 scientific papers. The results of scientific research were presented at international congresses and conferences. In 1991, Professor B.F. Mazorchuk received an award for scientific research into the effects of pesticides on pregnancy, the condition of the fetus and newborn at the VI European Congress.
Research work is actively carried out by the staff of the department.
Today the department has 3 doctors of sciences, including 1 professor, 12 associate professors and 8 assistants. In recent years, assistants D. G. Konkov, A. L. Kostyuk, O. K. Tarasyuk, L. V. Yaremchuk, O. I. Yatsyna, G. V. Chaika, V. G. Kayuk, O. O. Protsepko, S. K. Litvinov, A. P. Dnistryanskaya, N. A. Godlevskaya, N. G. Masibroda, N. G. Burtyak, A. V. Starover, O. A. Taran became Candidates of Sciences. Teachers pay great attention to treatment and prevention work. Professors and associate professors are consultants in the departments of the department and are responsible for sanaviation.
Chaika Hryhorii Vasyljovych

He studied at Vinnytsia Medical Institute, graduated in 1990 with honors and received his medical degree.
From 1990 to 1992 he studied in clinical internship at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of Vinnytsia Medical Institute. In 1992 he enlisted as an assistant of chair of obstetrics and gynecology number 1. In 1996 he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences entitled “Miscarriage Among Women who Live in Areas of Prolonged Exposure to Nitrates”, from 1998 was Head of Studies work of chair. Five years later (2001) he was elected assistant professor of the same department. In 2012 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medicine in the speciality “Obstetrics and Gynecology” and “Normal Anatomy” entitled “Constitutional Laws of Development of the Female Reproductive System in Healthy Individuals and Teenage Adolescence”. In June 2012 was elected as head of the department of obstetrics and gynecology number 1 of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M. I. Pirogov. From 2014 he was appointed as a professor.
Chaika H. V. published 179 scientific papers, including 4 books, co-authored 8 patents and 5 innovations.
Protsepko Oleksandr Olexijovych
Professor, MD
In 1993 Protsepko O. O. graduated from Vinnytsia Medical Institute with honors. From 1993 to 1996 he trained at the Master on chair Obstetrics and Gynecology number 2 of VNMU, from 1996 to 1999 — postgraduate studies at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of VNMU. In 1999 he enlisted as assistant chair. Since 1999 he has been the Head of the department of Gynecology of the Military Medical Center, the Air Force of Ukraine.
Since 2006 — Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1. In 1999 he defended his thesis. In 2002 the professor chose the topic of the thesis as doctoral student and defended it in 2007.
He has nearly 40 publications in professional journals, 3 monographs, 2 inventions (both submitted for consideration in 2005), participation reports in many conferences, conventions and seminars.
Protsepko O. O. developed new methods of surgical treatment of genital prolapse implemented in gynecological hospitals of the Vinnytsia region and beyond. He has been a professor since 2010.
Konkov Dmytro Genadijovych

Born June 14, 1969 in Vinnytsia. From 1989 he studied at Vinnytsia Medical Institute named after M. I. Pirogov and graduated with honors in 1995. From December 1998 to 2008 he worked at the maternal hospital number 1, Vinnytsia as a doctor of gynecological department.
In 2005 he defended his thesis for the degree of PhD on the topic “Pharmacological Efficacy of Ointments Containing Vinboron”.
Since 2006 he has been working as a clinical expert within the international program “Health of Mother and Child” under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Since 2007 he has been an assistant of chair of obstetrics and gynecology number 1 of Vinnytsia National Medical University. He worked as an assistant professor of the department from 2013 to 2018. He has been known as a Doctor of Medical Sciences since 2015. Professor of the Department from 2018. Member of the European Association for Medical Simulation, Association of Obstetricians-Gynecologists of Ukraine, Member of the Association of Pharmacologists of Ukraine, Member of the International Union of Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology, member of the European Association of Medical Education. Member of the working group at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the compilation and adaptation of clinical protocols. Member of the specialized dissertation council at the Vinnytsia National Medical University. Secretary of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Education Simulation Technologies. Trained in Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and the United Kingdom. Speaker at international conferences in Switzerland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Moldova. The author and co-author of 278 scientific publications, including 4 monographs, 3 clinical protocols. Published 39 scientific papers, including the 1st co-author of the monograph. He has 5 patents for the invention of a utility model.
Taran Oksana Anatoliivna

She graduated from VNMU named after M. I. Pirogov in 2002. From 2002 to 2004 was studying for a Master degree, and from 2004 to 2007 took a postgraduate course at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of Vinnytsia National Medical University. In March 2008 she defended her thesis on the topic “Modern Aspects of Diagnosis and Prevention of Postoperative Adhesions in Women of Reproductive Age”. Since September 2007 she has worked as an assistant of chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1, from 2012 is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1. Since 2008 she has been working on doctoral dissertation work and in 2017 successfully defended it on the topic “Cervical Neoplasia: Prognostic and Diagnostic Criteria of Monitoring and Treatment”. 5 textbooks were published, 2 of them in English, 1 electronic manual, 4 methodical recommendations, 3 informational letters and 4 patents for the utility model. Taran O. A. also published 89 scientific papers in professional editions. She is an obstetrician-gynecologist of the highest category. Is known as a deputy head of the Vinnytsia branch of the public organization “Ukrainian Association of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology”, a member of the Public Association “Obstetricians and Gynecologists Association of Ukraine”, a member of the Polish-Ukrainian Medical Society.
At the present time, she continues to undertake scientific research within the framework of the planned research work of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1. Participates in scientific and practical conferences, Ukrainian and international congresses. Internships have been repeatedly conducted in European clinics, with the aim of improving the practical skills and experience of organizing a health system and training students in European countries.
Yaremchuk Liliya Viktorivna

Was born in 1979 in Vinnytsia. In 2002 she graduated from Vinnytsia National Medical University named after Pirogov. From 2002 to 2004 studied for a Master degree, and from 2004 to 2007 took a postgraduate course at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of VNMU. In January 2008 she defended her thesis on the topic “Prediction and Prevention of Injuries Inflammatory Suppurative Complications of Maternal Perineal Trauma in Pregnancy in Violation of Genital Tract Microbiota” speciality Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Since 2004 she has worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Hospital number 1, Vinnytsia. Yaremchuk L. V. is a doctor of the highest category.
Since September 2008 she has been working as an assistant of chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1. Since 2013 is an Assistant Professor. Total number of scientific publications — 42, patents for invention — 4. At the present time she continues to research as part of the planned research department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1.
Litvinov Sergij Kostjantynovych

Starovier Anzhelika Viktorivna

In 1989 he entered and in 1995 graduated with honors from Vinnytsia State Medical University named after M. I. Pirogov. In 1995-1997 held internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Maternity Hospital number 1, Vinnytsia and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M. I. Pirogov. Since 1997 she has worked as a senior laboratory assistant of chair of obstetrics and gynecology number 1 of VNMU. In 2001 she defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic “Forecasting, Improving Treatment and Prevention of Miscarriage in the First Trimester”. Since 2003 she has been working at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 as an assistant. Is an Assistant professor from 2013. She has two patents for an invention, published one methodical recommendation and two newsletters. Published 37 scientific articles, is a co-author of two units in the textbook “Obstetrics and Gynecology” for family physicians.

Burtjak Natalya Grygorivna

Entered in 1980 and in 1986 graduated with honors from Vinnytsia Medical Institute Pirogov in speciality “General Medicine”. She was a member of the Institute of the student Trade Unions.
In 1986-1988 studied in clinical internship at the department of obstetrics and gynecology number 1 of VNMU. Since 1988 she has been working as an assistant of chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of VNMU.
In 1992 Natalya Grygorivna defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic “Prediction, Diagnosis and Treatment of Fetal Hypoxia and Asphyxia of Newborns”. Published 40 scientific papers and has 2 newsletters.

Godlevska Natalya Arkadiivna

In 1994 graduated from Vinnytsia Medical Institute named after N.I. Pirogov. From 1994 to 1997 she held an internship at the maternity hospital number 1 in Vinnytsia. From 1997 to 1999 passed clinical internship at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1 of VNMU.
In 1999 she defended her thesis on the topic “Prediction and Prevention of Obesity in Pregnancy and its Complications”.
Since 2000 she has worked as an assistant of chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1. She has been responsible for the scientific work of the department since 2005.
In September 2012 she was awarded the title of assistant professor and work to date on the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1. She is a member of the DEC at the 6th year. Is a coach of the international program ALARM for the reduction of maternal and neonatal morbidity. Actively participates in international, regional scientific and practical conferences as speaker and participant. Has a higher medical qualification category. Has 36 scientific works in leading editions and magazines. At the present time, Natalya Arkadiivna continues to work in scientific research within the framework of the planned research work of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1. In 1984 she graduated from the Vinnytsia Medical Institute Pirogov with honors. In 1985 graduated from an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Kiev Medical Institute named after O. O. Bogomolets on the basis of the Bila Tserkva City Maternity Hospital. From 1985 to 1988 worked as a gynecologist at Khodoriv’s District Hospital in Lviv Oblast. From 1988 to 1990 an obstetrician-gynecologist was in the maternity hospital No. 2 in Vinnytsia. From 1990 to 1992 studied in clinical internship on the speciality “Obstetrics and Gynecology” on the basis of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of Vinnytsia Medical University named after Pirogov. From 1992 to 1995 had full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1. Masibroda Natalya Grygorivna

From 1980 to 1985 she studied at Vinnytsia Medical Institute named after M. I. Pirogov and graduated with honors. In 1994 entered the graduate school at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1, after which she defended her thesis “The Prediction of Risk of Uterine Fibroids in Radio Production Workers”.
Author of 26 scientific publications, one invention and co-author of the monograph “Myoma of Uterus. Psychosomatic Aspects” (co-authors D. Y. Brehman, B. F. Mazorchuk) and “Handbook for Family Physicians” published in 2005.
Is an Assistant Professor from 2013. Masibroda N. G. is currently working on the problems of adolescent gynecology, pregnancy planning and prevention of major complications. There are trade-union departments working with students in SSS. Is known as a doctor of the highest category.
Kostjuk Alevtyna Leontiivna

Graduated from Vinnytsia National Medical University named after Pirogov in 1993. From 1993 to 1996 she passed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2. After graduating from internship, she worked as a resident doctor at Maternity Hospital No. 1.
In 2002 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Clinical and Anthropological Forecasting, Prevention and Treatment of Non-pregnancy” in Obstetrics and Gynecology. From 2008 to 2015, Kostjuk A. Tarasiuk Olena Kostjantynivna

Graduated from Vinnytsia National Medical University with honors in 2008. From 2008 to 2011 she studied for a Master’s degree in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the training was completed successfully with honors. From 2011 to 2014 she had postgraduate studies. Malinina O. B. protected dissertation work “Features of the Functional State of the Ovaries in Women of Different Morphotypes with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome”. During the period of work on the department, 15 scientific articles were written — 10 in co-authorship, 5 — individually. She has been an assistant of the department from 2011.
Zasadniuk Olha Pilipivna

In 2000 she graduated from Vinnytsia State Medical University named after M. I. Pirogov. From 2000 to 2002 she completed an internship in speciality “Obstetrics and Gynecology” on the basis of Vinnytsia Regional Hospital named after Pirogov and Maternity Hospital No. 1. Since 2002, Olha Pilipivna has been working as a gynecologist at the VRH up to this day. From 2000 to 2007, she took correspondence postgraduate studies at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Kostjuk Iryna Yuriivna

In 2006 graduated from the Humanitarian Gymnasium No. 1 named after M. I. Pirogov with honors. In 2012 she graduated from Vinnytsia National Medical University. From 2012 to 2015, an internship took place at the Municipal Center “Mother and Child Center” at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2. Upon graduation, she worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Barskaya Central District Hospital.
In 2015 Iryna Yuriivna graduated from the magistracy with honors in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the basis of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2. From 2015 she was a postgraduate student of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1.
She has worked on the candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Forecasting, Diagnostics and Prevention of Hyperactive Urinary Bladder Syndrome in Pregnant Women of Different Somatotypes” under the guidance of Professor Chayka G. V.
Since 01.09.2018 she has been working as an assistant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1. She is proficient in teaching methods in Ukrainian, Russian and English for native and foreign students of 4 and 5 years on the basis of the Department and the Simulation Center.
Kucherenko Oksana Mikolaivna

In 2004 she received her first degree and in 2010 graduated with honors from the Vinnytsia National Medical University Pirogov. In 2010-2013, there was internship and a master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology on the basis of the Maternity Hospital No. 2 of Vinnytsia and the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M. I. Pirogov. In 2013 graduated from the magistracy with honors. From 2013 until 2016 studied at the graduate school and worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of VNMU. In 2017 defended her thesis for a candidate’s degree in medical sciences on the topic “Forecasting of Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding in Girls of Different Ages of Different Somatotypes”. From 2017 she works at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 as an assistant. Has 1 patent for invention, and 14 scientific articles have been published by her. Continues to work on the problem of dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Markevich Bohdana Oleksandrivna

Graduated from Vinnytsia National Medical University in 2012. During the period of 2012-2015, there was internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology on the basis of Maternity Hospital No. 1 of Vinnytsya and department of obstetrics and gynecology No. 1 of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after Pirogov. From 2016, she had postgraduate studies and worked on the topic of a dissertation work “Forecasting, Diagnosis and Prevention of Primary Dysmenorrhea in Pubertal Age Patients of Different Somatotypes”. Since 2015 she has worked at the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 as an assistant. Storozhuk M. S. was born in 1983. From 2000 to 2006 she studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Vinnytsia National Medical University. After graduation she joined the graduate school and studied there from 2009 to 2013.
In October 2013 she defended her thesis titled “Optimization Appliances Myomectomy in Women of Reproductive Age”. Since September 2013 she has been working as an Assistant Professor of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology number 1.
Buran Valentina Vasylivna

Buran V. V. was born on September 11, 1966 in Vinnytsia Oblast. In 1983 she graduated with honors from high school Dashkivsku. In 1989 she graduated from Vinnytsia Medical Institute named after M. I. Pirogov. From 1990 to 1991 she studied in the internship in the speciality “Obstetrics and Gynecology” at the Vinnytsia Clinical Hospital No. 3.
Since 1991 has been working in Vinnytsia Maternity Hospital No. 1 as an obstetrician- gynecologist, in 1995 — as a head of antenatal clinics, since 2007 — as a deputy chief physician of the clinical section of the work.
In 2001 she was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Her thesis was “Treatment of Infertility of Tubal Origin after Laparoscopic Surgery for Outpatients”. She is a member of the Association of obstetricians-gynecologists of the Vinnytsia region.
Employees of the department, doctoral students, graduate and undergraduate students have conducted a study on reproductive potential and the search for solutions to the problems of women’s health in its various aspects.
Methods are being sought to improve women’s reproductive potential by reducing perinatal losses, optimizing approaches to diagnosing, predicting, preventing and treating pregnancy pathology, improving the results of surgical organ-preserving treatment of women of reproductive age in the presence of uterine fibroids and improving basic reproductive capabilities in the long postoperative period.
For the first time the method of chemical hydrodissection of uterine tissues during conservative myomectomy was substantiated and put into practice.
The obtained research results were reported at international congresses of all-Ukrainian and university conferences, published in journals accredited by the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine and other publications.
Students of 4-6 years and interns joined the research work of the department. Joint works are published in both the materials of the student conference and abstracts of the conference of young scientists.
The results of scientific research are protected by patents introduced into health care practice.
The research work of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 is “Study of Reproductive Potential and Solving Problems of Women’s Health” which was approved in January 2012.
Konkova D. G. defended doctoral dissertation of associate professor on the topic “Pathogenesis and Prevention of Perinatal Losses due to Endothelial Dysfunction”.
At present, the department is conducting doctoral dissertations on which are working Associate Professor Taran O. A. and Associate Professor Kostyuk A. L.

4 clinical residents and 3 graduate students study and conduct scientific work at the department.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was founded in 1934 at the maternity hospital No. 1. In 1938 it began working in the new obstetrics and gynecology building of the regional hospital. The first head of the department was prof. S. I. Topuze. His doctoral dissertation was devoted to the diagnosis of early pregnancy and modification of the Ashheim-Tsondek reaction.
In different years before the Great Patriotic War, the department was headed by: Candidate of Medical Sciences O. O. Kogan (1938), associate professor N. P. Verkhatsky (1938-1940), prof. S. B. Golubchik (since February 1940).
In the first years after the war, the heads of the department were: Associate Professor Verhatsky N. P., Assoc. Shterenberg R. I., prof. Smirnov G. N. (1947-1950).
The department has achieved great success when the head of the department was prof. R. A. Vartapetov (1951-1955). Thanks to his work, the department was significantly expanded, the medical process and research work were brought to a higher level. At that time, four candidate dissertations were completed and defended (M. P. Rudyuk, I. P. Humeniuk, J. P. Solsky, P. G. Zhuchenko). During 1955-1956 the duties of the head of the department were carried out by associate professor S. K. Barutchev, and from 1956 to 1961 the department was headed by prof. M. K. Ventskovsky. Under his leadership, the staff of the department published many new scientific papers and two collections of scientific papers. Associate Professor M. P. Rudiuk co-authored in 1959 a manual for doctors and students “Obstetrics Hospital Clinic”, in 1964 together with Professor MK Ventskovsky “Obstetrics and Gynecology” — a textbook for medical departments of medical schools. In 1967, together with M. S. Filippovich and A. I. Mikhalchuk published a textbook “Obstetrics” for medical schools.
In 1961, the department was again headed by Associate Professor S. K. Barutchev.
From 1964 to 1990 the head of the department was Professor P. G. Zhuchenko who until 2010 worked as a professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1. The significant contribution to the training of scientific personnel and activation of scientific developments of our department for the period 1964-1990 by a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Russia and Ukraine, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor L. V. Tymoshenko (Lviv-Kyiv) should be emphasized. Under his direct supervision became candidates, and later doctors of sciences, professors I. A. Sitnik, B. F. Mazorchuk. Great scientific assistance to the department was provided by Professor M. S. Baksheev (Kyiv) — under his guidance the candidate’s dissertation of the current associate professor of the department A. S. Ivanova and doctoral dissertation of Professor V. I. Kuznetsova was carried out. At this time, the following assistants were prepared and successfully defended the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences: О. S. Zhukova, G. A. Potolochna, L. C. Kryzhanivska, A. I. Michalchuk, P. P. Grigorenko.
From 1990 to 2012 the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor B. F. Mazorchuk who now works as a professor of the department, and he handed over the title of the department to his student, Doctor of Medical Sciences Chaika G. V.
For decades, the staff of the department has received great help in scientific developments from Academician UANNP, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ya. P. Solsky. Under his supervision, the candidate and doctoral dissertation of Professor Zhuk S. I. was completed.
Employees of the department received 37 copyright certificates for inventions and patents: P.G. Zhuchenko, B. F. Mazorchuk, I. A. Sytnyk, S. I. Zhuk, G. V. Chaika, V. G. Kayuk, N. G. Masibroda, N. A. Godlevska, O. O. Protsepko, A. V. Poltorak, L. V. Yaremchuk; 24 monographs were published, including 5 textbooks and manuals; 18 methodical and information letters; about 800 scientific papers. The results of scientific research were presented at international congresses and conferences. In 1991, Professor B.F. Mazorchuk received an award for scientific research into the effects of pesticides on pregnancy, the condition of the fetus and newborn at the VI European Congress.
Research work is actively carried out by the staff of the department.
Today the department has 3 doctors of sciences, including 1 professor, 12 associate professors and 8 assistants. In recent years, assistants D. G. Konkov, A. L. Kostyuk, O. K. Tarasyuk, L. V. Yaremchuk, O. I. Yatsyna, G. V. Chaika, V. G. Kayuk, O. O. Protsepko, S. K. Litvinov, A. P. Dnistryanskaya, N. A. Godlevskaya, N. G. Masibroda, N. G. Burtyak, A. V. Starover, O. A. Taran became Candidates of Sciences. Teachers pay great attention to treatment and prevention work. Professors and associate professors are consultants in the departments of the department and are responsible for sanaviation.
