Vinnytsia National Medical University named after Pirogov expresses the respect to you and informs you about the scientific and practical conference with international participation “MEDICAL SIMULATION – A LOOK IN THE FUTURE” (introduction of innovative technologies in the Higher Medical Education of Ukraine), which will be held on February 7-8, 2020 in Vinnitsa. The conference will be attended by about 150 delegates and speakers from different regions of Ukraine and Europe.
The conference is on the list of congresse, symposia and scientific conferences that will be held in 2020.
The first part of the conference (07/02/2020) will be devoted of discussing current global trends in the development of medical education with a further discussion platform, where each participant will be able to express and defend their views on the development of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education in Ukraine.
On February 7 (14:30-15:30) a meeting of the departments of obstetrics and gynecology will be held in order to approve the further concept of medical education development.
The official languages of the conference are Ukrainian and English.
The official organizers of the event are Vinnitsa National Medical University and NGO “Ukrainian Association of Medical Educational Simulation Technologies”.
TOPICS OF THE MAIN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL DIRECTIONS OF THE CONFERENCE:
- Educational technologies in improving the quality of care and patient safety;
- Academic virtue. Quality assurance system in higher medical education;
- Prospects of simulation training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of education;
- Teamwork and leadership function in a clinically oriented practicum;
- Role of communication skills in higher medical education (world experience);
- Competent assessment of knowledge and skills in medicine;
- Experience in the implementation of an objective structured clinical trial (OSCI) in higher medical institutions of Ukraine (own experience).
On 08/02/2020 a seminar will be held: “Modern Strategies For The Development Of Higher Medical Education In Ukraine”. Educational strategies and curriculum technologies (problem-oriented learning, interdisciplinary education, teamwork, patient as a subject of medical education, use of digital technologies).
Communication skills. Evaluation principles (clinical communication, intercommunication, communication with the patient).
Drawing up a portfolio. Feedback and coaching.
USCS as an assessment of clinical competence (choice of exam format, principles for the construction of checklists and rating scales).
